Choosing the best IVF software in India comes down to fit, not a ranking. An Indian fertility clinic needs software that keeps the records the ART (Regulation) Act 2021 calls for, runs the clinical and laboratory work of every cycle, deploys in a way the clinic can support, comes with real onboarding and is clear about price. This guide sets out those criteria, shows where Vitrify stands on each and names six alternatives, so you can compare on your own terms.
BUYER GUIDE
There is no official ranking of IVF software in India, and a page that calls one product the best for every clinic is guessing. A single-doctor centre, a hospital fertility wing and a multi-city chain need different things. What holds for all of them is that the software becomes the clinic's record of every cycle. It stores the consent that was signed, the embryos that were created and frozen, who handled each sample and what was billed. When a State Board inspector or the National Registry asks for evidence, that record is where the answer comes from.
Indian clinics also weigh things that buyers elsewhere may not. Billing has to work in rupees with GST. Records have to stand up to the ART Act, the ICMR guidelines and, for clinics that pursue it, NABH accreditation. Support has to be reachable during Indian clinic hours. Many clinics are also moving off paper registers or spreadsheets, so data migration and staff training matter as much as the feature list.
This guide is written for the clinic director, embryologist or administrator who has to make the choice. It explains five criteria plainly, states where Vitrify stands on each using only what Vitrify already publishes about its own product, and lists six other IVF and clinic software options with what their own websites say about them. Where a vendor does not publish a detail, the page says Not public rather than guessing. Use it as a checklist for your demos, not as a verdict.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Take these into every demo and ask each vendor to show, not tell, how its product handles them.
The ART (Regulation) Act 2021 requires clinics to keep detailed records of donor oocytes, sperm and embryos for at least 10 years, take written informed consent from all parties and report to the National Registry. Software should keep those records structured and easy to retrieve. Check INR and GST billing too. Our guides to ART Act 2021 compliance and NABH compliant IVF software cover the detail.
An IVF cycle runs from consultation through stimulation, retrieval, the embryology lab, transfer and cryostorage. Check whether the clinical record and the lab live in one system or in separate tools. Sample traceability, lab handovers and cryo storage are where gaps tend to show first.
Cloud software is hosted by the vendor and used through a browser, so the clinic does not run its own server. On-premise software is installed on the clinic's own hardware, which gives local control but leaves backups, security updates and uptime with the clinic's team. Ask where data is hosted and how it is backed up.
Moving to new software means migrating existing records and training every role, from the front desk to the embryology lab. Ask what migration and training are included in the price, how long go-live usually takes and how support is reached once you are live.
Some vendors publish prices and some quote only after a demo. Either can work, but you should know the pricing model (per user, per license, per centre or one-time), what is included and what costs extra before you commit. A free trial lets your team test the software on its own workflows.
WHERE VITRIFY FITS
Vitrify is IVF clinic management software. Here is its position against the same five criteria, drawn only from what is already described on this site.
Patient, consent and laboratory records are kept in structured form, with export and reporting for the National ART and Surrogacy Registry. Billing is INR and GST ready, and support is based in India. See IVF software in India.
EMR, ART cycle management, lab management with sample traceability, cryo storage, ART bank, pharmacy and billing run in one connected system. See the products hub.
Vitrify is cloud-based, so the clinic does not run its own server and works through the browser.
Onboarding, data migration from Excel, CSV or a legacy EMR, and staff training are included in the plan. Support is reached by email, phone and live chat.
Pricing is published per license, billed monthly or yearly across three plans scaled by clinic size, with a calculator in INR on the pricing page and a 7 day free trial.
For setups by clinic type, from a single centre to a multi-branch chain, see the solutions hub.
